The Healthcare Interoperability Problem

The medical industry suffers from catastrophic data silos and extreme friction caused by compliance requirements (like HIPAA).

  • Forged Prescriptions & Records: Pharmacies have no mathematical way to prove a prescription actually originated from the specific doctor who claims to have signed it.
  • Data Exposure: Transferring Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) between hospitals exposes the entire payload, risking massive HIPAA breaches if intercepted or mishandled.
  • Unverifiable Consent: Patient consent forms are stored as flat PDFs. There is no cryptographic, unforgeable audit trail proving the patient explicitly granted permission for their data to be shared at a specific moment in time.

Cryptographic Patient Consent

Patient consent is managed through Session Tokens. When a patient authorizes data sharing, their cryptographic signature creates a trace in the PoCE chain. Hospitals and clinics can mathematically verify this consent without exposing the underlying patient identity to unauthorized third parties.

Irrefutable Prescriptions

Prescriptions issued by doctors are hashed and sealed via GPRs. Pharmacies independently verify the hash against the blockchain-anchored receipt to ensure the medication, dosage, and patient details were not tampered with during transmission.

Zero-Knowledge HIPAA Audits

The ZTSM enables auditors to verify that medical procedures and data access followed all regulatory compliance paths (the PoCE chain) without needing to decrypt the actual Protected Health Information (PHI). They audit the cryptographic proofs, not the private data.
